CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

SchlumbergerSema, a business unit of Schlumberger Ltd, has released a data recovery and business continuity solution for e-mail and web services.

The new service lets businesses redirect their web services and e-mail in real-time should a failure of their operational systems occur. The company would then have full access to the Internet, e-mail capabilities and any web site would be replicated and kept accessible to visitors.

The new data recovery and business continuity service will be included in Schlumberger's DeXa Suite of Services. No pricing details were announced.
