Datamonitor expects growth for IP call centres

Corporate IT Update, April 28, 2003

CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Business information company Datamonitor plc has completed a survey showing that just 4% of all call centres in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa are IP-architectured.

The company goes on to state that it expects IP call centres in the regions to have trebled by 2007. This is because call centre operators will have no choice but to change to an IP-based system due to an anticipated decline in revenues.

In the Europe, Middle East and Africa markets the three most important markets will be the UK, Germany and France with over 60% of the market share between them, Datamonitor believes.
