CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Communications and information exchange company Nortel Networks has launched its Optical Multiservice Edge 6500 product for network management.

Companies adopting the new product can converge multiple services, architectures and layers from new or existing networks onto just one platform, according to Nortel. This will reportedly improve service efficiency while also reducing capital and operating costs and decreasing the time to market of optical Ethernet, optical storage connectivity and other optical broadband services.

The cost of Optical Multiservice Edge 6500 was not disclosed.
