The Presentation and Display Technology (PDT) division of Toshiba has introduced the T90 projector series.

The T90 series includes three models which are based on DLP technology, the models offering a number of advanced features such as wireless connectivity (TW90) and a detachable document camera (T91).

The T90 models all have a display brightness of 2,000 ANSI lumens, XGA (1024x768) resolution and a 2000:1 contrast ratio.

The integrated wireless capabilities of the TW90 are aimed at reducing the time needed to set it up as it eliminates cords and cables. The wireless card can also be exchanged for a type II storage device, removing the need for a PC or laptop computer for presentations.

The detachable document camera on the T91 operates as an overhead projector, which means that users can incorporate real 3D objects or hard copy documents like magazine pages into presentations.

The T90 projector series includes a number of multimedia capabilities and connectivity options, including three video input sources that allow for adding video clips or movies to presentations, from television, DVD or VCR. The new projectors also include audio connections in/out as well as a connection for special monitor output that allows a presenter to watch the content on an external display.

The Toshiba T90 series will be available from distributors and resellers from July 2004. The recommended retail price from the manufacturer is GBP1,440 VAT for the T90 standard model and GBP1,640 VAT for the TW90 and T91.
