Product lifecycle management solutions provider Dassault Systemes (Nasdaq: DASTY) has joined forces with IBM to launch Version 5 Release 13 of their product lifecycle management portfolio.
The product range includes CATIA for collaborative product development as well as ENOVIA and SMARTEAM for product data and life cycle management, collaboration and decision support. The companies have enhanced the new versions of the software to include relational design so that engineers can obtain an improved view on dependencies and the impact of their decisions, according to the companies. This will enable the enhanced management of design modifications so that fewer engineering changes are required later on in the product lifecycle.
