CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Cunningham Lindsey, a UK-based loss adjusting and claims management services company, has selected Serco Solutions, a division of international service company Serco Group plc, to implement a remote working solution for its field-based staff.

According to the company, the project will provide a secure access facility to allow staff to process confidential insurance claim data from their own homes. The system uses security tokens, enabling employees to log-in securely by providing an authentication number which changes every two minutes. Cunningham Lindsey expects the solution to offer flexible and secure ways of working for its staff.

Serco Solutions will host the secure access facility and support Cunningham Lindsey's ICT infrastructure, the company said.

It is expected that the new system will save hundreds of thousands of pounds in dial-up lines and recruitment costs by enabling staff to work from home. No other financial details were disclosed.
