Corporate e-mail and data access solutions for Bell Mobility customers have been unveiled by communications company Bell Canada and mobile computing company Good Technology for Palm Treo smartphone and Pocket PC customers.

Good Mobile Messaging provides users with fast, secure access to corporate e-mail, including feature-rich attachments, contacts, notes, tasks, calendar and other corporate data, straight from their wireless device.

Good Mobile Defense provides a security application to ensure critical information is protected, should a wireless device be stolen, lost or misused. It enables devices to be managed remotely by IT administrators, who can customise multiple security policies and protection levels and remove sensitive files, e-mail or information immediately.

The solutions feature an intuitive user interface on Palm Treo smartphones and Windows Mobile wireless devices, end-to-end encryption of data exchanged between the device and servers and secure Over-the-Air installation and upgrade functionality. They also offer two-way wireless synchronisation of Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Domino functions, security and compliance manager for verification and authentication and proactive handheld scanning and policy management.

Users will be able to access a mobile messaging and security solution intended to protect company systems and confidential corporate assets, provide secure, reliable and fast communications and help improve productivity.
