Centric Telecom introduces business applications with TeleWare

CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

A suite of business applications offered as a hosted service has been introduced by Centric Telecom, a communications solutions provider, working with TeleWare, a supplier of intelligent communications solutions.

Centric Telecom said the solution combines the functionality of a traditional private branch exchange (PBX) with extra value-added services from TeleWare. These enable applications such as personal numbering, call recording and team working to be delivered from TeleWare's hosted service platforms in London, over Centric Telecom's IP access network.

According to Centric Telecom its IP Centrex service applications enable resellers to generate new revenue streams and secure additional market share, through monthly rentals and voice minutes. It claimed that businesses of any size can use its hosted, network-based IP telephony without requiring on-site equipment, with features accessible via the office telephone, or via mobile or at home.

TeleWare said that IP Centrex hosted services enable businesses to grow at a predictable ongoing cost, without the need to worry about upgrading or replacing their PBX, while reducing demands on IT and telecomms staff.
