SonicWALL wireless Internet access deployed at Westlake Village Inn

CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

SonicWALL Inc (Nasdaq:SNWL), a provider of integrated network security, mobility and productivity solutions, announced on Wednesday (18 October) that Westlake Village Inn, a resort property in California, in the US, has deployed a SonicWALL secure wireless network.

According to the company, the SonicWALL secure wireless solution integrates SonicPoint 802.11a/b/g wireless access points with firewall/VPN gateways to provide secure wireless LAN connectivity to users on the network. SonicPoints are configured and centrally managed and updated by any SonicWALL TZ or PRO Series security appliance.

The SonicWALL solution at Westlake Village Inn has reportedly enabled wireless internet access in 141 guest rooms, lobby, restaurant, banquet facility and nightclub, and was deployed by technology consultancy Phoenix Network Technologies, Inc. No financial details were disclosed.
