New IT contractors announced by UK Department for Constitutional Affairs

CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

UK Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA) has named IT service provider ATOS Origin and global solutions company Logica CMG as the providers for two new IT contracts.

ATOS Origin has been awarded the new infrastructure contract, which is expected to provide a number of benefits, including the deployment of a unified IT infrastructure across the whole Department, allowing for more efficient communication and improved service levels.

Logica CMG has been awarded the new applications contract, which will reportedly include the support, maintenance and development of existing applications and provide a flexible platform for modernisation.

Together the contracts will be worth an anticipated GBP500m over a seven-year period.
