QLogic Corp (Nasdaq: QLGC), a supplier of Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs), stackable switches and blade server switches, announced on Thursday (15 February) that its SANblade 4Gb Fibre Channel 2460 Series PCI Express (PCIe) host bus adapters (HBAs) are now available on the new HP Integrity rx2660 entry level servers.

With a line of QLogic 4Gb Fibre Channel PCI-X 2.0 HBAs for HP Integrity servers already shipping, the addition of SANblade 4Gb PCIe HBAs complements the SAN connectivity solutions for HP systems. The SANblade 2460 Series is reportedly compatible with all other QLogic HBAs and QMH2462 mezzanine cards, which now include HP-UX support.

According to the company, the SANblade 2460 Series is a family of enterprise-class 4Gb Fibre Channel PCI Express HBAs, delivering high levels of performance and availability, as well as intelligent networking features specific to enterprise class data centres. Qualified with HP Integrity rx6600 and rx3600 servers in HP-UX, Windows, Linux and OpenVMS environments, the SANblade 2460 Series is said to provide increased data protection, advanced frame routing, and enterprise-wide management capabilities.

No pricing details were disclosed.
