CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

A contract to upgrade the data network for Diamond Companies Inc, a transportation services company in the US, has been awarded to US communications holding company AT&T Inc (NYSE:T).

AT&T said it will act as the primary service provider under the terms of the contract, providing a dedicated Managed Internet Service (MIS) Internet connection supporting continuous, secure real-time Internet access across the network.

AT&T claimed this will provide Diamond Companies with the flexibility required to expand network bandwidth to meet capacity requirements and improve data communications between Diamond Companies' locations on the existing network.

According to AT&T it will provide flexible, fast and secure access for Diamond Companies, which operates 15 dealerships in 11 cities in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Tennessee. It confirmed the enhanced service will help the company better respond to customer needs, such as checking availability of vehicles at dealerships and shipping parts.
