An agreement to deliver an 11 site IP-based Virtual Private Network (IP VPN) to Huff Realty of Cincinnati, a US home services provider and unit of HomeServices of America, has been awarded to Time Warner Telecom Inc (Nasdaq:TWTC), a provider of managed voice and data networking solutions for businesses.

Time Warner Telecom said its IP VPN provides Huff Realty with dynamic data access to time sensitive customer transaction information and allows it to mirror data between its two data centres.

Huff Realty said that the solution meets its failover plan requirements and provides the capability to switch network traffic to its disaster recovery site and continue operations, should service at its headquarters be affected. It said the 11 site IP VPN provides a meshed MPLS network which supports real-time voice Class of Service/Quality of Service (CoS/QoS) standards for use with its Cisco Call Manager, replacing its point-to-point network.

According to Time Warner Telecom, its IP VPN service is highly scalable and flexible and provides the necessary redundancy for businesses, giving Huff Realty a converged network and business continuity solution. It also confirmed that the multi-year agreement also covers Ethernet Internet services (EIS) and voice services.
