CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Three new elements have been added to the OpenScape unified communications portfolio of Siemens Enterprise Communications, a provider of Open Communications solutions for enterprises.
Siemens worked with Accenture and Ensim to create the provisioning, billing and management software interfaces required for quick deployment of the OpenScape Enterprise Hosted unified communications product into service provider networks. It claimed this enables faster delivery of unified communications benefits to the SME market and large enterprises, for a monthly fee per user.

The new OpenScape VoiceLink solution telephony-enables Microsoft's Office Communicator client and the SIP-enabled version of OpenScape VoiceLink supports Siemens' HiPath 8000 IP softswitch.
In addition Siemens announced the new release of OpenScape Enterprise, enabling more simplified web-services integrations with enterprise applications and providing a new Toolbar desktop client for Windows. The OpenScape Toolbar enables users to access instant messaging, voice and web conferencing and multimedia presence while still allowing full desktop 'real-estate' to be allocated to line of business applications.
