CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

A new three year contract to provide voice and data network services to Bruce Foods Corp, a privately owned food manufacturer in the US, headquartered in Louisiana with four manufacturing plants in Louisiana, Texas and North Carolina, has been awarded to US communications holding company AT&T Inc (NYSE:T).

AT&T said it will serve as the primary network and data services provider to Bruce Foods, deploying its AT&T Managed Internet Service (MIS) and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)-based Virtual Private Network (VPN) for the company.

According to AT&T, its IP-enabled platform will provide enhanced bandwidth and a reliable private network, which can be accessed by any Bruce Foods branch site, simultaneously. The fully meshed VPN solution enables the company's regional network sites to remain in communication should one site suffer a major outage, helping to remove problems such as those the company faced during hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

The solution provides a unified, cost efficient network platform to improve communications between the company's manufacturing plants. It is scalable and can be expanded as Bruce Foods grows, helping it to meet current and future needs.
