Budget Web Sites selects TechSmith solutions

TechSmith, a provider of screen capture and recording software, announced on Wednesday (12 September) that web design specialist Budget Web Sites has chosen its software solutions SnagIt and Camtasia Studio.

According to the company, Budget Web Sites will use screen capture and recording tools from TechSmith to facilitate the web design process, enhance the end result and enable its clients to maintain their own dynamic website without previous web design or content management experience.

The company will use SnagIt, a screen capture tool, to improve client communications during the web design process. Using the tool, it can grab examples from other websites and add arrows, annotations and call out boxes to illustrate ideas and possibilities before creating staging versions.

Camtasia Studio is a screen recording and video editing suite which Budget Web Sites will use for a range of purposes: to create professional video content that can be incorporated into websites quickly and easily; to create video tutorials teaching its clients how to use 'Smart', its content management software package; to create and upload video content to http://businessstartup.tv, the company's sister site.

Budget Web Sites has also collaborated with TechSmith's partner, Sigma Software Distribution, to leverage the full potential of the software. No financial details were disclosed.
