Limehouse's uengage software selected by SOLACE to create consultation portal

Limehouse Software, a provider of web-based document collaboration, creation, publishing and key stakeholder consultation solutions, announced on Wednesday (23 April) that SOLACE (the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives and Senior Managers), the representative body for senior strategic managers working in the public sector in the UK, is using Limehouse Software's uengage software to create a consultation portal for gathering members' responses to the Audit Commission's proposed Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA).

SOLACE reportedly selected uengage to create the portal - http://solace-consult.limehouse.co.uk - after using the company's ucreate solution to create the interactive CAA document. The consultation, running for seven days, took the format of an interactive document, inviting members to comment on the CAA, using a web-based, paper-saving solution. To assist members to use the new consultation portal, Limehouse created an online 'Help' movie, which walked users through the process, step by step.

According to the company, the Limehouse Software suite facilitates the collaboration, creation and publishing of policy, planning and strategy documents and the delivery of consultations. It includes two integrated elements: ucreate, a web-based publishing solution with document collaboration and multi-channel publishing facilities; and uengage, a web-based enterprise consultation system.

No financial details were disclosed.
