Licensing deal with multi-national consulting firm signed by Copernic Inc

CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Copernic Inc (NasdaqCM:CNIC), which provides search technology for web, desktop and mobile spaces, said on 3 April that for 4,100 licenses of its Copernic Desktop Search Corporate Edition software, a prominent multi-national consulting firm has signed an agreement with the company.

The licenses have been purchased by the firm, which is an IT and consulting company, with offices in 25 countries around the world and it has decided to standardise its employees on the Copernic Desktop Search platform. This tool will make Copernic the default Desktop Search tool for employees. The agreement provides for additional revenue as well, based on employee growth besides as an annual renewal fee when continued support, maintenance, updates and upgrades are selected.

The exact terms of the agreement and the name of the consulting firm have not been disclosed due to confidentiality agreements.
