Vision Solutions collaborates with IBM and Arrow on business continuity offering

CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Vision Solutions, a provider of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery solutions in IBM's Power Systems markets, introduced on Tuesday (8 April) an express offering targeting small to mid-market IBM System p customers using AIX.

In collaboration with information technology company IBM (NYSE:IBM) and distribution partner Arrow ECS, the company is providing affordable and reliable high availability solutions for businesses of all sizes.

According to the company, the offering combines IBM System p servers and Vision Solutions' EchoStream data replication software with advanced CDP (real continuous data protection) functionality, providing organizations with any-point-in-time recovery of data inadvertently lost or corrupted.

Other benefits reportedly include advanced usability of replicated data for testing, installing upgrades and business intelligence utilization.

No financial details were disclosed.
