Pegasystems' BPM software chosen by Deutsche Telekom

CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Deutsche Telekom (FRA:DTE) (NYSE:DT), a German telecomms operator, has selected Pegasystems Inc (Nasdaq:PEGA), a provider of Business Process Management (BPM) software, to provide Business Process Management (BPM) software.

Deutsche Telekom signed an Enterprise Frame Agreement and decided as a first initiative to implement a new order management system, which will allows its subsidiaries to use a flexible customer purchasing and service process.

According to the company, the new order management system based on PegaRULES Process Commander - Pegasystems Business Process Management platform - is integrated into the Deutsche Telekom system environment, including the systems for billing and debit management, customer management systems, provisioning and other applications in the back office. It allows the operator to become more agile by offering new products to new customer segments faster through new sales channels.

No financial details were disclosed.
