CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Neustar Inc (NYSE:NSR), a provider of clearinghouse and directory services to the global communications and Internet industry, announced on 16 October that it has appointed Guenter Krauss as senior vice president and general manager of Neustar Next Generation Messaging (NGM).
In his new role, Krauss will lead NeuStar's industry-leading instant messaging (IM) services, including operator-branded IM, Internet IM and email, presence and interconnect services. Krauss replaces Allen Scott, who has worked for NeuStar's Next Generation Messaging business since 2004 and most recently served as general manager.

Krauss was previously president and CEO at arcplan Inc, the US subsidiary of arcplan Information Services, a leading global provider of business intelligence solutions. Earlier in his career, he served in a variety of senior leadership roles with a number of IT related companies and also acted as a consultant.
