CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2009 M2 COMMUNICATIONS

Human resources software company Vizual announced on Monday that it is to release its HR.net Lite Human Resources software for free to small businesses in the UK.

The UK-based company said that it is able to offer the software free of charge as it has a steady revenue from selling its HR software and it believes it can both assist small companies during the current economic climate and potentially gain future customers when companies that take up the offer of the free software grow big enough to need to upgrade to a more capable platform.

HR.net Lite is a web-based application suitable for companies with up to 15 employees. Vizual also offers paid versions of its software: HR.net Express for companies with up to 250 employees, HR.net Professional (up to 400 employees) and HR.net Enterprise (unlimited).

No pricing details were given for these other versions.
