AIM, the association for automatic identification and data capture technologies, has approved Datastrip2D symbology as a new work item for development into an AIM International Technical Standard. Datastrip2D is a variable-size, variable-density two-dimensional bar code symbology with high data capacity. The symbology is ideal for secure ID cards, medical data cards and machine-readable travel documents. The symbology was submitted to AIM by Datastrip Inc.
