Intermec Technologies has added a Linux-based device to its line-up of mobile computers. The new CK1 is designed for batch inventory, order entry, gift registry and other retail applications, as well as parcel delivery and light industrial tracking systems. Intermec says the combination of the Linux operating system and Linux programming tools provides end-user applications with multitasking capabilities.
