Fujitsu Components America has released a new semi-rugged, mobile printer. The FTP-628WSL110 thermal printer has a Bluetooth interface for handheld, portable, and wireless applications. The printer supports both serial and IrDA inputs. With 1.5A power consumption, a single battery charge will print 50 m of paper. The programmable printer measures 3.30 x 5.30 x 1.72 inches and weighs 0.61 pounds (including battery and paper). It has an output speed of 1.6 in./sec. and can print various bar codes, alphanumeric KANA, JIS KANJI, and international characters.
