YOU'VE GOT ADS

Feel as if you can't escape those America Online 6.0 television ads? You probably can't. AOL's ad spending increased 68% in the first 11 months of 2000 and may still be rising. The Net giant's ad budget jumped to $118M last year, more than double the previous year. In one recent period, AOL or AOL Time Warner commercials aired every 15 minutes on CNN; which is owned by the company.

COX GOES EXPRESS

Cox Communications customers in Orange County, Calif., can now order digital cable packages over the Internet through HBO.com and HBO Express, the premium network's online ordering service. Cox is the latest to sign up for the service, which is used by AT&T New England, Time Warner Memphis and DISH Network.
