It's nice to see some life at last out of Adelphia. High-definition television will do nothing but good for the MSO. It will cut churn flowing to DBS and serve up nice margins in the 60% range. However, it's going to be some time before the positive operational news filters down to the bottom line. Looking strictly at the near term, Adelphia will be lucky to bag even 17,000 HD subscribers in Southern California by the end of 2003.
