Time Warner Cable oks new Motorola optical transmitter

Motorola Broadband Communications Sector said that its OmniStar GX2 optical-broadband transmission system has been approved by Time Warner Cable. New optical transmitter requirements are part of Time Warner Cable's strategy to increase network capacity as it continues to deploy such advanced services as video-on-demand and high-speed data.
