OLN Takes to the Road for Adventure

Outdoor Life Network has hit the road with Adventure Highways.

As the OLN coach rolls along the highways and byways of America, it will travel to ten locations. Included along the ride will be a jaunt to East Hampton, N.Y., for an equestrian event, a peddle to Moab, Utah, for some mountain biking and a gallop to the Grand National Rodeo Championships in San Francisco.

While gaining visibility for the network, the other purpose of the bus tour will be to film footage for the accompanying new series Adventure Highways, hosted by Tom Holm. Peter Englehart, SVP-programming and production, says, "It's very exciting to get additional exposure not only at the events as well as on the road, the highways and byways of America."

Affiliates will have a chance to get involved and plan area events, as the network will give advance notice that the Adventure Highways coach is coming to their town. Booths and displays may be set up in conjunction with the coach's arrival if a system would like to participate. OLN plans to wrap up the tour in November, though more events may be added. OLN will begin airing the 10 half-hour Adventure Highways specials in July.
