SOAPNET ADDS NEWS SUDS
SoapNet, ABC Cable's soap opera network, acquired its first non-ABC soap for its programming lineup. Another World, which aired for 35 years on NBC before its cancellation in 1999, is being added to SoapNet's schedule on July 1.
HBO'S CRYSTAL-CLEAR
Billy Crystal inked an exclusive three-year deal to develop, write, direct and produce comedy and dramatic projects for HBO. In 2001 the premium programmer telecast Crystal's directorial debut, the Emmy-nominated film 61*.

Bravo's Run Away With Cirque Week takes flight June 9, with a different Cirque performance every night at 8 p.m. The week is capped off on June 14 with an all-day marathon of Fire Within followed by the television premiere of Varekai, the troupe's latest production.
AMC STALKS CELEB PHOTOGS
A new reality series, The Hollywood Hunt Club, is coming to AMC on Wednesday nights in October. The half-hour show about celebrity-chasing paparazzi expands on an hour-long special set for Aug. 25 in the network's documentary showcase, The AMC Project.
TRIO UNCENSORED
Eight uncensored comedies, including Sandra Bernhard's Without You I'm Nothing, have been added to Trio's uncensored programming lineup running throughout June. Curb Your Enthusiasm's Susie Essman narrates Uncensored Comedy: That's Not Funny!, an original doc scheduled for June 8.
MTV WARMS OVEN
In the vein of Comedy Central's Friars' Club Roasts of comedians, MTV is turning the tables on celebrities with MTV Bash, a roast-a-thon the network hopes will become an annual, marquee franchise. The first special, skewering network presenter Carson Daly, will air in July.
OXYGEN GETS CATTY
On May 30 Oxygen introduces Meow TV, a half-hour advertiser-produced show for cats and the people who scoop for them. Hosted by Annabelle Gurwich and her cat Stinky and set in Gurwich's living room, the special will have nine lives (er, repeats) through June. The show will feature Meow Mix cat food and feline-friendly products alongside comedy bits such as cat tricks and poems.
