A&E INTEGRATES

A&E Television Networks is getting into the integrated-marketing game. A&E named Bruce Thomas VP-integrated marketing. He will be responsible for creating partnerships with advertisers across A&E's networks, Web sites and other media properties. Before joining A&E, Thomas was SVP-sales OneMediaPlace and had earlier worked at AT&T Broadband and TCI.

COURTING CONGRESS

Republican and Democratic leaders in Congress helped Court TV launch its new "Choices and Consequences" antiviolence program for high school students. The program addresses the problem of bullying and features a tape of a town-hall special that featured dozens of elected officials and students addressing the topic of youth-violence prevention and the media. Court TV plans to air specials on the subject this week and in October.

CNN STREAMS

CNN chose EyeWonder to provide instant streaming video and audio for online ads that can be accessed by users without special players or plug-ins. The EyeWonder technology will be used to deliver streaming video and audio within online banner advertising and cross-promotional programming opportunities.
