AOL TIME WARNER
AOL said it plans to increase monthly prices for its Unlimited Use plan by $1.95, or about 9%, to $23.90. The increase will begin in the July billing cycle.
EXCITE@HOME
The Wall Street Journal Europe reported that German Internet service provider T-Online is interested in acquiring Excite's European Internet portal business. The paper said it was unclear if the T-Online talks would result in a deal.
ECHOSTAR COMMUNICATIONS
Echostar raised $1 billion by selling seven-year notes that are convertible into Echostar stock at a 35% to 40% premium to the trading levels at the time of conversion.
VIACOM
Top Viacom executives reassured shareholders attending its annual meeting that the media giant is a content king with its sought-after cable networks and hot broadcast property, Survivor. Neither Sumner Redstone or Mel Karmazin commented on Viacom's acquisition plans.
