Music Choice

Cable World, July 10, 2000 by Rani Long

Music Choice, provider of commercial-free digital music via cable, satellite and the Internet, is extending the entertainment options of its 50 audio channels.

Dave Del Beccaro, president/CEO, says, "In enhancing Music Choice's Web presence, we expand the reach of our music services well beyond cable and satellite and secure our position at the forefront of digital music distribution."

In an alliance with Microsoft, Music Choice is extending the number of channels it offers for online audio streams in low and broadband speeds. Cable operators can take advantage of Music Choice's monthly OnStage concert series to strengthen the value of locally-branded channels.

For an annual $4.99 fee, "Backstage Pass," the subscription-based section on the company's Web site (www.musicchoice.com), allows visitors to access 30 channels of streaming music, Audio-on-Demand, Video-on-Demand, archives of OnStage concert events, and exclusive artist chats.
