CIC PRODUCES HIGH-SPEED PSAs

Cable in the Classroom has created two new public service announcements informing parents, teachers and students about the educational power, appeal and ease of cable modem high-speed Internet access.

The two 30-second PSAs are available for MSO and network members now. A Spanish-language version has also been created. In addition, CIC is making complimentary print ads available to members. Comcast provided and funded the creative concepts for the spots; CIC produced them.

Meanwhile, CIC is moving from Alexandria, Va., where the organization has been headquartered since 1990, to NCTA's offices in Washington, D.C. The move will save money and put CIC executives closer to groups that represent the national education community, executive director Peggy O'Brien says.
