Trio's benchmark metrics logically lag well behind the industry averages, particularly concerning its still-developing cash flow margins. However, while sister network News-world International has been flying low under the radar, Trio has spent fluidly to raise awareness with both consumers and cable operators. Its odd mix of programming could confuse viewers, but the strategy of producing an edgy lineup has the potential to lift the network above the din in a 200-channel universe.
