GET OUT THE HOLIDAY HANKIES FOR 'LETTIE'
TNT's second movie produced in conjunction with Johnson & Johnson is an old-fashioned reunite-the-family-for-the-holidays tearjerker. Mary Tyler Moore and Burt Reynolds are the stars of Miss Lettie and Me, which is scheduled to premiere Dec. 8. The family get-together is set in motion when a young girl is sent to stay with her aunt - Moore's character - who has been living alone on the family farm since the sister she raised left to pursue a singing career and a relationship with a musician. Reynolds plays Moore's old flame, who also has returned to town. Think Driving Miss Daisy meets The Grinch as Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations drive home the family values.

TUITION'S THE MISSION AT GAME SHOW NET
Is there any correlation between education and quiz-show success? There is now. Game Show Network has created WinTuition, the program the network says turns "knowledge into college." Its first episode, set to air Dec. 9, reveals two gimmicks. The first, prize money-$50,000-is designed to cover school tuition costs. The second gimmick: Questions gradually increase in difficulty, forcing contestants to remember what they learned in first grade, then second grade, all the way through high school. Biology? Geography? Algebra? Kids may actually have a good chance of beating their parents, and have a good time, too.
