FX GOES WITH JONES FOR NEW LATE-NIGHT PROGRAM

FX will take another stab at late night with a talk/variety series to be hosted by actor/comedian Orlando Jones. The program will be produced by Fox Nitetime Productions, in association with Twentieth Television. The show is scheduled to launch in 2003.

SOAPNET PLANNING LIVE COVERAGE OF AWARDS SHOW

SoapNet will air a live special covering the Soap Opera Digest Awards on April 12. The show will be hosted by Lisa Rinna and Ty Treadway of the network's Soap Talk.

TNN is looking for a family of everyday Osbournes to star in a comedy-reality show tentatively titled A Weekend Without Mom. In the show, comedienne Adrianne Frost will join the family for a weekend and run the household her way while mom takes 38 hours off. Producers are looking for a family with two parents and two or more teenagers. The family receives cash while becoming TV stars.

WE HITS 50M SUB MARK

WE: Women's Entertainment, celebrating its two-year anniversary, reaches 50 million subscribers nationwide, according to Nielsen Media Research. The network added 26 million subscribers this year.

CARTOON, MTV PLANNING NEW YEAR'S PARTIES IN N.Y.

Cartoon Network is planning to air Adult Swim's New Year's Eve Bash! live from Times Square on Dec. 31 from 11 p.m to 3 a.m. The show will include a premiere episode of Space Ghost Coast to Coast at midnight. The host will be Brak from The Brak Show and Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Meanwhile, older kids might want to try MTV's New Year's Eve Pajama Party. The show will feature hosts Carson Daly, Brittany Murphy and Ashton Kutcher and live performances by Foo Fighters, Busta Rhymes, Good Charlotte and Avril Lavigne.

HGTV RENEWS 'NEW SPACES'

Home & Garden Television ordered an additional 26 episodes of Broadview Media's television series New Spaces.

G4 COUNTS DOWN TOP GAMES

G4 will count down to 2003 with a special two-hour New Year's Eve episode of Filter, which will present the top 50 games of the year as ranked by G4 viewers.
