Koipe nine month results

Koipe, the Spanish edible oils group, has reported sales of Pta71bn (ECU426.4m) and profits of Pta3.3bn for the first nine months of 1998. The figures are not comparable with 1997 results because of the sale of Koipe's margarine operations to Unilever last year (see Eurofood, 6 November 1997, p10), changes to the amortisation of various brands and one-off gains from the sale of shares.
