Eurofood, July 29, 1999
Continente, the Spanish supermarket group owned by Promodes of France, has sold a 4 500[m.sup.2] store in the city of Murcia for Pta1.4bn (??8.4m). The store, which operates under the Simago fascia, was sold to a group of local investors as it proved impractical to convert it to Continente's Champion format along with all the other Simago stores acquired in 1997.
