Israeli food company G. Willi-Food International has released its third quarter results for fiscal 2000, which show a 1% net income increase despite a sales drop of 7%. G. Willi-Food imports, markets and distributes over 350 food products in Israel. Total sales for the nine-month period ended 30 September fell by to IS96.3m (26.9m [European Dollar]), down 7% from IS 103.3m generated during the same trading period a year ago. Gross profit in the nine-month period was IS25.1 m, an increase of 2%. Operating income was down 9%, but net income up by 1%, reaching a value of IS8.7m.
