Navidul alliance in Japan - Brief Article

Spanish meat group Navidul has signed a commercial agreement with the Japanese firm Nippon Meat Packers which will see the Asian firm distribute Navidul's serrano ham throughout Japan. Navidul said it had opted for a distribution agreement with a local partner rather than setting up its own Japanese distribution network as this gave it a partner with excellent knowledge of the Japanese market, its consumers and the best means of promoting the product in a region unfamiliar to Navidul.

The Spanish group has a similar arrangement with the US group ConAgra.
