US firm Campbell Soup Company has announced a shake up of its organisation as it looks to stir up interest in the stagnant US soup markets. Campbell is to split its US operations into two business units, separating its soups from its beverage and sauce operations.
The reorganisation will see all Campbell soup products in one unit, with the other unit consisting of its V8 and V8 Splash drinks, along with the Pace and Prego sauces.
As part of the realignment of its business, Campbell is also moving some responsibilities regarding supply chain, sales, marketing, finance and human resources from its North American division to its recently created corporate matrix organisation. Campbell has created several new positions at senior level to oversee sales, strategy and business development.

Thrasher will be replaced by Andrew Hughson, who is to become president of the new North American Soup Division.
The US firm is currently searching for a candidate to head its beverage and sauce unit.
