SimplyOrganic & Express team up - Express Dairies - Brief Article

UK-based home delivery organic supermarket SimplyOrganic has teamed up with Express Dairies to offer doorstep deliveries of its organic products.

In a move which could redefine organic grocery home shopping, organic food is now available on Express's Greater London delivery network, and there are plans to roll out the service nationally by spring 2002.

Simon Grant, marketing director of SimplyOrganic said, "We have just completed a twelve week trial which has proved extremely successful. During the trial every organic order was delivered on time and none were damaged; not a single organic egg was cracked!"

Andy Clifford, business development manager at Express Dairies said, "This venture is the product of extensive research opportunities to make better use of our existing delivery infrastructure."

Initially, 18 depots in London and the South will offer the service, with a further 50 Midlands-based depots operational by Christmas.
