Starch producer Cerestar has announced a joint venture with the Jiliang Group to open a maize processing plant in Northern China. The European firm's new factory will produce a range of starches and starch derivatives, which are used in the food and drinks industry. The joint venture firm, Jiliang Maize Industry was created in 1996, with approval from Beijing.
