Sales rise 6% at Czech meal producer - HAME Babice - Brief Article - Statistical Data Included

The Czech-based ready meals and pate producer HAME Babice has recorded a sales rise of 6% according to CEO at the firm, Leos Novotny. Sales over the past year have reached a value of CKr3.134bn ([euro]89.9m). Novotny did not comment on the profit at the company. In the breakdown of sales, meat products accounted for 55% of sales, with exports contributing some CKr240.2m to sales.

HAME exports mainly to Russia and Romania, but also to Poland, Lithuania and Greece. HAME in October of last year bought a canning factory in Slovakia, and in December of 2000, the firm announced that it had set up a subsidiary firm in Poland, HAME Poland.
