US fastfood giant McDonald's generated a pre-tax profit of Pta3 000m on a turnover of Pta71 000m during 2000 in Spain. The figures represent an increase 20.3% compared to the previous year. McDonald's Espana, which currently operates 277 restaurants in Spain, intends to invest Pta51 000m over the next three years, aimed at opening another 210 establishments.
