Spanish meat firm El Pozo, has set its target for the forthcoming year: a 20% sales increase. If the Spanish concern were to achieve its self-imposed target, it would generate the group some [euro]360.6m, according to group president, Tomas Fuertes. Although the trading period from the current year has not finished for El Pozo, Fuertes confirmed that the company would achieve this year's target of a 10% rise in turnover to some [euro]306.5m.

According to the Spanish firm, it controls a 7% slice of the market, a position that it hopes to improve on in the coming year. El Pozo remains in second place behind compatriot firm Campofrio, which controls 22% of the market.
