Swedish retail food prices were up 0.6% in the month to February after rising just 0.1% a month earlier. The year-on-year increase slipped to 0.7% in February after recording an annual rise of 1.2% in the month earlier, the Statistics Sweden's monthly price data showed.
The bureau's broader Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the economy as a whole, rose 0.4% in the month to January, giving an inflation rate of 1.6%. Beef prices rose further in February, recording a monthly gain of 2.3% to 3.9% for the full year. Pork prices were steady but up 6.3% in year to February.
