The Tamp meat processing plant in Moscow boosted production 9% year-on-year in the first seven months of 2001.
Tamp sold 10 472 tonnes of processed meat products, compared with 9 596t in January-July 2000, an economist in the company's planning and production department, Galina Yarmukhametova, has told Interfax.
Sales were up 19% to 6 090t of boiled sausage, 13.1% to 824t of semi-smoked sausage, 18% to 231t of boiled and smoked sausage, 16.5% to 202t of raw-smoked sausage and almost 200% to 307 200t of other processed meat products. Sales of sausages and wieners slipped from 2 373t to 2 172t. Sales of prepared foods went up 27.6% to 591t.

Sales amounted to RuR709.46m (26.3m [European Dollar]), up 45.7% from RuR486.83 in the same period of 2000.
Around 70% of its product is sold in Moscow and the Moscow region, with the rest sold in other Russian regions and CIS countries.
TAMP sold 16 530t of processed meat products last year, up 2.7% year-on-year.
