Baking and confectionery enterprise Pekar, one of the largest in Northwest Russian, turned out 18 387 tonnes of product in the January to July period, 4% more than in the same period of last year.

The baked goods Pekar made in this period weighed in at 12 224t (3.3% up year-on-year) and its confectionery products 6 163t (5.3% up), including chocolate wafer goods (up 34.8% to 3 251t), cakes (up 52.5% to 411t) and Swiss rolls (up 35.8% to 1 500t).

On the other hand, the company made 39.6% less Eastern sweets (1 412t) as a result of modernisation work being done on this particular shop.
